Varnish Cache 9.1 is the new LTS

Varnish Cache 9.1 is now the new Long Term Support version. Contrary to regular releases which get security fixes for a year, this new LTS version will be supported for 2 years, until April 2028.

The previous LTS, Varnish 6.0 will be supported until April 2027, after which security fixes and new packages won’t be published. We advise to upgrade to the new LTS before this cufoff date to avoid vulnerability issues.

With TLS support being provided since Varnish Cache 9.0.0, Hitch will also stop being supported after April 2027.
